Anambra Elections Declared Inconclusive, But Soludo Still Set To Win

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has decalred the Anambra State governorship election inconclusive.

Florence Obi, INEC Returning Officer in the election, who made the announcement of the decision in the early hours of this morning, said that supplementary elections needed to be held in a Local government where no election took place.

There are 21 Local Government in Anambra, which is the second smallest state in Nigeria, according to land mass. Elections were held in 20, but, Ihiala Local Government there was no elections.

Supplementary elections are now supposed to be taking place in Ihiala on Tuesday, where The Glinstone understands that there are 362 polling units.

Many Nigerians believe that the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Charles Soludo, who is currently leading the exercise with 103,946 votes will win.
