Joe Ibokwe, a Special Adviser to the Lagos State Government on gutter affairs, has said his house in Nwei, Anambra State, was burnt down by members of the proscribed IPOB group.
Taking to Facebook, Mr Ibokwe, who was given the role of Drainage and Water said the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, “raised down my house, giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from their Sienna car via CCTV.”
Mr Ibokwe, who is based in Lagos, noted that he was “still alive.”
The Glintstone is aware that Mr Igbokwe, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos, who caused controversies when he attacked a known Presidential spokesperson as being unknown, had previously claimed that he and his children where being targeted for speaking against Biafra.
In his press statement at the time, he said: “Nnamdi (the leader of IPOB) asked his boys to behead me anywhere they see me. They did not spare my children, as they extended the same fatwa to them. He also did not spare the names of every other person who speaks against his dream land, Biafra.”
